In 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic forced our Club to cancel all our in-person events. As such, our October newsletter was mailed to our supporters to keep them apprised of these programs which were produced virtually. The newsletter included articles on our Annual Awards event, Scholarship Awardees, new member campaigns and an initiative our Club undertook to support our first responders working in Fire, EMS, local Police Departments and New Jersey State Police throughout Morris County, with donations of face masks and shields.

We asked everyone receiving our newsletter to help us spread the word about the work we do as we continue to support and protect our first responders through their memberships and donations. Club member Nicholas Rafanello, President & CEO of Eastern Janitorial Company in East Hanover, took that message to heart and was compelled to help our front line workers in a big way. He reached out to The 200 Club and offered to donate cases of hand sanitizer to ALL first responders throughout Morris County, just as COVID cases were beginning to rise again. Nicholas was determined to supply as much as each agency needed, and the final count was a huge 100+ cases!

Within days arrangements were made to get cases of hand sanitizer into the hands of our brave first responders on the front lines via the co-ordination of agency representatives, the 200 Club administration and Nicholas and his staff, all working in conjunction toward that effort.

There may be some negatives as we recall 2020, but this past year will also be testament to the stories of people who have risen to the occasion and met the challenges of the days head-on; people who make a difference by reaching out to help others. We are humbly grateful to Nicholas Rafanello for being one of those extraordinary people and we are proud to count him as a member of The 200 Club of Morris County. Thank you, Nicholas and everyone at Eastern Janitorial Company!

Nick is proud of the caliber of employees who support his vision and philanthropy and actively seeks to maintain and expand his dedicated staff.
